Diadora Brasil Made In Italy x Next 40 FG - White

Celebrate a legendary football boot with the Diadora Brasil Made In Italy x Next 40 FG in White, a fully carbon-neutral edition of the Brasil made using recycled and repurposed materials.

The Brasil set the tone for style when it first released back in 1984, and now it’s doing the same for sustainability as Diadora look towards a more environmentally conscious future. Created in recognition of the Brasil’s four decades at the top of the game and with a view to another 40 years, the Next 40 catches the eye with woven details in undyed thread. And it’s not just the stitching that’s sustainable. Designed and produced especially for Diadora, the base upper material combines Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified recycled cotton, polyurethane from renewable sources, and certified recycled polyamide. Recycled, renewable, and continuing to provide the top-notch touch you expect from the Brasil. Underfoot, the soleplate’s as springy as ever, and it’s made from 30% recycled polyurethane, sourced from a GRS-certified supplier. That’s the Global Recycled Standard, demonstrating responsible environmental practices are used throughout the supply chain. The insole is GRS-certified too, utilising a mix of recycled polyurethane foam, recycled polyester fabric, and recycled rubber. It’s removable, of course, allowing easy replacement to extend the life of the boot. The lining and laces are also made from recycled polyester – 99% post-consumer recycled polyester in the case of the laces. All those elements add up to a truly eco-friendly football boot with exceptional on-pitch performance, in the classic silhouette you know and love.

Elite

The best of the best. Elite football boots are the boots professional players wear on-pitch, made using the highest quality materials and featuring the latest technologies and innovations. The premium option for players who demand the best possible performance from their boots.

Brasil

First introduced in 1984, the Brasil has a heritage few boots can match. After debuting on the feet of Zico in the 80s, it’s perhaps best known for its popularity among pros in the 90s, when Diadora had a stable of top players wearing the iconic design in Serie A. Both the Baggios – Roberto and Dino – laced up in the Brasil at various points in their career, as did Marco van Basten, George Weah, Francesco Totti, Christian Vieri, Alvaro Recoba, and Filippo Inzaghi.

Further afield, Manchester United fans will recall the well-coordinated quartet of Roy Keane, Nicky Butt, Gary Neville, and Phil Neville donning the legendary black and fluo yellow Brasil during their 1999 Champions League-winning campaign. Speaking of Champions League wins, Pippo scored his brace in the 2007 final wearing the Brasil in a suitably resplendent black and gold colourway.

Why did so many pros love it? One, because it’s a supremely comfortable, traditional leather boot. Two, because it’s immensely durable. Match after match after match, the Brasil keeps on going and remains a pleasure to wear. Those qualities persist today, so if you like your classic boots and want a pair that’s more than equipped for the modern game, look no further.

Ground Type Guide

Selecting the correct sole plate for the surface you are playing on is crucial, not only for the performance and longevity of your football boots, but also to avoid the risk of injury.

Using an outsole that isn't designed specifically for the surface on which you are playing may cause premature wear and/or damage that will not be deemed as a fault of manufacture and will prevent the retailer accepting them for a refund or exchange.

Firm Ground

Boots with Firm Ground soleplates are only to be used on natural, short-grass surfaces that are firm underfoot but may be slightly wet. Designed specifically for this playing surface, they offer acceleration, comfort, and enhanced traction, dispersing stud pressure evenly across the foot. FG soleplates are fixed (not removable) and are used worldwide; wetter countries tend to use them spring to autumn. FG boots are not to be used on artificial ground (AG) surfaces as the construction is not designed for the extra friction. Using FG boots on AG surfaces will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
